The databases

HIV East cohort DB

The purpose is to study how host genomic variation affects clinical outcomes in people with HIV. The DB is set up to collect host genomic data and samples in a cohort of 4500 patients: this large sample size, with carefully ascertained clinical phenotypes and biobanking of material, allows to perform DNA analysis identifying the variants of particular importance. Long term follow-up of patients is carried out to assess the clinical phenotypes after samples for biobanking have been made.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 825673.
